FIVE ST. MARTIN FOOTBALL PLAYERS SIGN JUCO
It was a big day for junior college football on the local front Wednesday, as quite a few local prep football products signed deals to play on the next level.
Over a dozen area standouts in Jackson and George counties inked with junior college programs on National Signing Day. St. Martin led the way with five signees, while Pascagoula produced four, Ocean Springs three and Vancleave and George County two signees apiece. Moss Point, Gautier and Resurrection and had one signee each.
For the Yellow Jackets, versatile Class 6A All-State offensive Player of the Year Tyler Polk signed with East Mississippi, while offensive lineman Ricky Hunt signed with Mississippi Gulf Coast. Wide receiver Kaleb Clark and offensive lineman Jimon Dixon each are headed to Jones County, and defensive lineman Trey Freeman signed with Holmes
